Eggs are best when cooked gordon ramsey style, with just salt and pepper.
Although, eggs fried slowly in a little heavy cream and trader joe's crunchy chili onion oil are pretty awesome

For me eggs are something that I can't eat daily or it starts to disgust me. Absolutely delicious if eaten on occasion. When I started lifting at 15 I ate 12 hard boiled eggs each morning and sometimes at night. I think Palumbo's diet, which apparently is the same for everyone regardless of weight LOL, is 12 morning and 12 at night. Must be hard to do for 16-20 weeks I imagine. I thought that if I ate lots of eggs at bedtime and then dropped an Anadrol-50 it seemed to make the Anadrol work better; perhaps placebo :D
Who here eats eggs every day? Which cooking method?

I eat 4-5 eggs everyday.
Usually fried over easy or scrambled with bacon or sausage.

That would be great and easy. Unfortunately the protein isn't very bioavailable uncooked, only 50% absorbed vs near 100% cooked. Maybe you can lightly cook them and then blend them? I think IroNat did that if I remember correctly?

That's why you're strong :D I think they are very anabolic if you don't have an allergy. I think adding whole milk and some pork fat would make it even more anabolic :D

I hit them in the microwave, then just drink them sometimes. At this point, I don't care as much eggs and tuna are two things I lose interest in quick relatively.

I eat 2-3 over easy eggs cooked in butter on 2 bagels with avocado on Sundays.
Rest of the week I eat 1 cup egg whites + 1 whole egg scrambled with chicken ,green onions/tomato mixed in with grits.

Van,
Lightly cooking & then blending gave the shake a slightly sulfur taste. Not the greatest.

I've been doing the cup egg white, 2 egg, chicken sausage, just to cut some cals a bit.
I'm used to it, but egg whites suck in comparison to real whole eggs.

Chicken sausage sounds great. Trader Joes makes a tasty one.
I always add grilled chicken to the egg whites-I forgot to write that. And I love the green onion mixed in.
I used to just do the egg whites, but I feel better and stay fuller longer with the whole egg added. I prefer just whole eggs, but I eat the egg white meal pre workout and I feel better not having too much fat then. I also found that if I eat a decent amount of protein for breakfast my appetite is under control rest of the day.

I upgraded my diet since I can train again......eating 4-8 eggs a day.
Almost a perfect food......I`d call them a SUPERFOOD but that title is reserved for cane sugar and copious sticks of butter per meal! ;D
-
Apparently they are very healthy but I can't stand the smell. Eggs stink. No idea why anyone would eat that shit especially early in the morning :o

Wow 8 eggs. How do you cook them? Or are they hardboiled?
-
For how long?
30 seconds. I remember one of the big science writers said that was enough to kill most of the salmonella risk, which is why I do it. I suppose you could take them to lightly poached, which would be just a tad longer then whip or blend them with a bit of milk if you wanted more of the cooked benefit.
-
Thanks, Kwon.

Very little in the microwave just to get the white turning color.
Pierce the yolk so it doesn't explode.

At one point in my life I was consuming 36 whole eggs a day 😂🤣🤦🏻♂️ 72 eggs every two days, this lasted 18 months the first go round…10 months the last go round. Took years for me to enjoy the taste of anything that had eggs in it. Cliff notes 📝 EGGS = 💪🏻

I didn't "eat" 12 eggs a day in college. I blended them with milk and drank them: Sixteen fl oz. of milk and six eggs.....twice a day.
Add some Nestle Quik or other sweetener and it's fairly tasty.

Not really!! As long as you have enough Lactaid and you eat your share of vegetables and going to the restroom is hardly a problem.

As long as your eggs are extremely hot or extremely cold, the salmonella thing isn't an issue. Back in college, my roommate's mini-fridge would almost always freeze my eggs solid. So blending them with cold milk made absolutely sure there was no salmonella for me.

I made no claim to the contrary. Besides, with consuming a dozen eggs a day, lack of fats and oils is hardly an issue.

Clearance sales are a wonderful thing. A local store just opened near my house with a HUGE BARGAIN on large eggs So, each pallet of 2.5-dozen eggs was on sale for $0.97. Basically that's 5 dozen eggs for just under $2.
Look for stores that have eggs that are reaching their "Best Buy" date of June 10. The prices gets slashed by 75% or more. Last month, I racked up on jumbo eggs for $0.98 a dozen. And since I have tomorrow off (with pay ;D ), I'm going to grab a few more dozen eggs and make more room in the fridge.

This is far too much effort to put on eggs lol.
-

The jumbo eggs I got last month, that had a "Best By" date of June 8, are almost all GONE! And we still have a week before we even hit the month of June.
Trust me! Most of the eggs I just got will be LONG GONE before they reach the "Best By" date. ;D
Plus, I always have the option of freezing them, just as I do my meat and milk I buy.

Thank you.
Eggs have always been a favorite of mine, one of the "Holy Trinity" of foods if you will. I've also stated that whoever came up with the idea of separating the yolk and just eating the white needs to be horse-whipped!!
It was over 30 years ago that I started on my serious mass diet in college to get to 200 lbs. Based on Vince Gironda's ideas, I made what I called "Poor Man's Met-Rx". Again, it was two shakes, each consisting of 16 fl oz of milk or half-n-half and 6 eggs. One was for breakfast; and the other I consumed before bedtime as my last meal of the day.
January 1996, I weighed 189; by May, I'd beef up to 210. Just regular food (which includes those "Poor Man's Met-Rx" shakes) and weight gainer (Mega Mass 2000, at the time) got the job done back then.
-

5 eggs fried with bacon for me today.
-
Just 2 minutes ago I ate five hard boiled eggs.
On a side note, back in the day when eggs cost .99 per dozen I bought 3 cases, froze 2 of them and when I "attempted" to eat them they tasted weird............so I tossed them out......there are some things that just don`t freeze well.
-

That just makes things worse and harder to believe. Look, I apologize, this is just the way my mind works but what did you "drink"? Like 2-3 a day, maybe more? That's approaching 2 dozen eggs a week in a dorm mini-fridge.
I know it was 30 years ago, but how long did your roommate let you keep this disgusting rotating frozen egg shake festival going?
-

I drank two a day: Once in the morning for breakfast and once in the evening before bed.
Plus, the storage in the mini-fridge wasn't an issue. Back in the day, I would buy a dozen eggs from Publix on my way back from the gym to school during the evening. That was much easier when I could take the bus for free, using my college ID.
Before bed, I made my shake with powdered milk and six eggs. I drank it and washed out my blender. I stored the rest of the eggs in the mini-fridge overnight. When I woke up the next morning, I made another shake with the remaining six eggs, and that was breakfast.
The only time I bought more than a dozen eggs was on Tuesdays, since I didn't (and still don't) train on Wednesdays. I don't see how storing 1-2 dozen eggs in a mini-fridge is an issue.

I did what I had to do. The secret, that ain't so secret, to getting big is eating more food. Plus, I was on a budget. Eggs and powdered milk were the most economical. But, boiling them sucked; scrambling them was fine (if you wolfed them down in 30 seconds; otherwise, they tasted like rubber).
Greg Zulak, of MuscleMag International fame from days of yore, said it best: "It's way easier to bring 1000 calories and 100 grams of protein than it is to eat them."
Mixed with milk and some flavoring (e.g. Nestle Quik), drinking a dozen eggs is fairly easy, as long as you divide the mix into two or three batches.

Just had sirloin steak, eggs and roasted potatoes for meal 2. I literally feel it running though my veins brother. I’m hulking up right now

Why did Egg Whites International continue to sponsor all these bodybuilders, like O'Hearn and Cutler? I think they took advantage of Egg Whites International. I doubt they brought them millions of sales. They're just free loaders getting free egg whites in the mail.

I don't like runny eggs. I prefer my eggs scrambled hard. But eating 4-6 eggs in one sitting was rough, especially in college.
That is why, in the end, I simply drank six of them them mixed with milk and some strawberry or chocolate flavoring, twice a day. Occasionally, I even added a little extra protein powder (usually the cheap Challenge protein that GNC sold at "Buy One; Get One 50% off".

He is the inspiration (courtesy of MuscleMag International) from which I got my "Poor Man's MET-Rx". I used half-n-half originally, per his recipe. But, powdered milk was more economical, long term. So, I switched to using that.
