I don’t agree with the above. It was always my understanding that the term schmoe initially referred to a male who worshipped and wanted to be being dominated by a female bodybuilder. The applicability to the male bodybuilding scene came later as people became more openly aware of the male bodybuilder schmoes.   Do some of the old timers here agree?
