Tom was a fantastic poser, real dramatic stuff.
About the "looking thin in clothes" bit, Mike Mentzer said that when he first laid eyes on Arnold backstage in Sydney, Arnold was wearing some cross-stitched shirt (? I think?) that made him "look skinny." That prompted Mike to think he was gonna whup Arnold's ass, LOL.
Craziness -- and that's coming from a guy who talked to Mike on the phone for several years. Very neat, smart guy. I miss him. But his was definitely a haunted soul. In spite, or perhaps as a product, of his atheism, losing his parents, both of whom he truly adored, really messed with his head. His odd placement behind tiny Dicksuckerson and (much as I truly like) Abless Boyer was just the straw that broke the camel's back.
