I was a big fan of Fox in the 80s. Look at this shot compared to Lee Haney. I think he beats Haney in every aspect in this pose. Just go body part by body part and Fox wins.

Never understood why he placed so low in 1983. He was in his best shape ever. Only one to get a standing ovation from the audience. Personally, I prefer his type of physique over Samir's. Those full rounded muscles. But I can see why most preferred Samir and he deservedly won. But Bertil should have been a close second.

I don't think he could ever beat Lee Haney.
He was as narrow as Phil Cheath
He lacked quad sweep
Weak lat width

Ofcourse he had amazing chest, sick arms as a whole, beautiful calves, crazy traps and good midsection.
So he was a worthy champion but no Mr. O material.
Not to forget that he couldn't pose to save his life.
